Robertson's Vineyard Range of South African Wines
The wines are all named after single vineyards that optimise the expression of terroir. To preserve the distinct character of these sites, the grapes are hand-picked in single baskets in the vineyard and vinified separately in a small, customised cellar at Robertson Winery.

Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show 2006 - Silver
Rich open aromas of fresh citrus and lime with hints of oatmeal and butterscotch. The palate is ripe pineapple and melon, complemented by full-bodied soft varietal fruit, giving a generous texture with a long full flavoured soft finish.
Carefully judged vineyard selection has provided a solid fruit foundation for this Chardonnay. Fruit was sourced from a premium block on the Kings River farm. The well-weathered deep Karoo soil on this farm with its generous lime content, adds an underlying richness and complexity to this unique wine.
Retreat Sauvignon Blanc 2007
2007 Decanter World Wine Awards – Silver Medal
This wine exhibits appealing aromas and flavours of ripe granadilla, pineapple and melon, with a touch of flintiness. The fine crisp natural acidity freshens the wine and adds structure; leading to clean, minerally finish with excellent length and finesse.
Retreat, a single vineyard with well-weathered shale soils, is the source of this Sauvignon Blanc. It is situated on a south-facing slope in the Riviersonderend mountain range at an altitude of 350 metres above sea level. During summer this vineyard is cooled in the afternoons by southern ocean sea breezes, enabling an extended ripening season. This results in good quality fruit, with concentrated flavours and fine acidity.
Prospect Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2005
Sélections Mondiales des Vins Canada 2007 - Silver Medal
Michelangelo Awards 2006 - Silver Medal
Intense aromas of blackcurrant and brambly wild fruit lead promisingly to rich flavours of ripe cassis and chocolate, as well as some earthiness. Balanced tannins and acidity ensure a well-defined structure and an elegant finish.
The Prospect Hill vineyard is situated on a cool southeast-facing slope of the Zandvliet Mountains, at an altitude of 172 metres above sea level. This aspect exposes the vineyard to the warm morning sun and shades it in the hotter afternoons. These features combine deep, well-drained red Karoo soils with a generous lime content, to create the perfect balance for growing exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon.
Wolfkloof Shiraz 2005
Mulberry, cinnamon and clove aromas combine with flavours of blackberries and spice on the palate. Soft, ripe tannins and well-integrated oak provide structure.
The Wolfkloof Shiraz derives its balance and structure from the vineyard’s situation on the cool south-facing slope at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains, with its water-retaining Oakleaf soils. Careful vineyard management resulted in a harvest of small, concentrated berries.
